The Maharaja's Favourite Wife
''The Maharaja's Favourite Wife'' (german: Die Lieblingsfrau des Maharadscha) is a silent adventure film directed by Max Mack and starring Gunnar Tolnæs, Fritz Kortner, and Erna Morena. Originally produced in Denmark by Nordisk Film, whose German branch was taken over during the First World War. It was released in three parts, the first two in 1917 and the third in 1921. The third part was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin, and released by the leading German company UFA. Its sets were designed by the Hungarian art director István Szirontai Lhotka. Robert Theodor Camillo Dinesen (23 October 1874 – 8 March 1972) was a Danish film actor and director. He was first married to actress Laura Johanne Winter (1882-1930) and secondly to Christine Marie Christensen (1877-1935). He is buried with his third wife, German actress Margarete Schön, at the Friedhof Heerstraße cemetery in Berlin-Westend. Emil Rameau
Emil Rameau (born Emil Pulvermacher; 13 August 1878 – 9 September 1957) was a German film and theatre actor, and for many years the deputy artistic director at the Schiller Theater. He appeared in nearly 100 films between 1915 and 1949. Life and career After his graduation from Realschule Rameau got an actor. His first role was Marcellus in ''Julius Caesar'' in Bromberg (today Bydgoszcz in Poland). In 1906 he went to the Schiller Theater in Berlin, where Rameau worked with Leopold Jessner. From 1923 until 1931 he was the vicarious intendant at the Schiller theater. He directed some plays at the Volksbühne. Emil Rameau worked also with Max Reinhardt at the Deutsches Theater. Tempelhof Studios
The Tempelhof Studios are a film studio located in Tempelhof in the German capital of Berlin. They were founded in 1912, during the silent era, by German film pioneer Alfred Duskes, who built a glass-roofed studio on the site with financial backing from the French company Pathé. The producer Paul Davidson's PAGU then took control and constructed a grander structure.
