''The Magic Mountain'' (German: ''Der Zauberberg'') is a 1982 drama film directed by Hans W. Geißendörfer and starring Christoph Eichhorn, Rod Steiger and Marie-France Pisier.Bock & Bergfelder p.152 An adaptation of Thomas Mann's 1924 novel ''The Magic Mountain'', it was made as a co-production between Austria, Italy, France and West Germany. It was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin and at a variety of locations, many of them in Switzerland. The sets were designed by the art directors Heidi Lüdi and Toni Lüdi. Gudrun Gabriel
Gudrun ( ; non, Guðrún) or Kriemhild ( ; gmh, Kriemhilt) is the wife of Sigurd/Siegfried and a major figure in Germanic heroic legend and literature. She is believed to have her origins in Ildico, last wife of Attila the Hun, and two queens of the Merovingian dynasty, Brunhilda of Austrasia and Fredegund. In both the Continental (German) and Scandinavian traditions, Gudrun/Kriemhild is the sister of the Burgundian king Gunther/Gunnar and marries the hero Siegfried/Sigurd. Margot Hielscher (29 September 1919 – 20 August 2017) was a German singer and film actress. She appeared in over fifty films between and 1939 and 1994. Hielscher was born in Berlin. In 1957, she was chosen to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 with the song " Telefon, Telefon" ''(Telephone, Telephone)''. The song finished fourth out of ten, with eight points. Hielscher was chosen again to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 1958 with the song " Für Zwei Groschen Musik" ''(Music For Two Pennies)''. The song finished seventh out of ten, with 5 points. In 1989, she starred in the TV series ''Rivalen der Rennbahn''. She died in Munich, aged 97. Hans Christian Blech (20 February 19155 March 1993) was a German film, stage and television character actor who found success in both Germany and Hollywood. He made his English film debut in the 1951 picture ''Decision Before Dawn''. In this and many of his other Hollywood films, he played a German soldier. He had a prominent role in the 1962 World War 2 blockbuster film, '' The Longest Day''. He served in the German Army and fought on the Eastern Front in World War II, where he may have acquired his facial scars. Flavio Bucci (25 May 1947 – 18 February 2020) was an Italian actor, voice actor and film producer. Biography Born in Turin, Bucci began appearing in film and television in 1971, making his debut appearance in the film ''The Working Class Goes to Heaven''. He is known for playing Daniel, the blind pianist, in Dario Argento's ''Suspiria'' and for playing the thuggish Blackie in Aldo Lado's 1975 '' Night Train Murders''.
