The Madras Song
"The Madras Song" produced by the Murugappa Group is a tribute to the city of Madras and was launched in commemoration of its 375th year which was celebrated in August 2014 . There was a sequel to this song by Opus G7 for The Hindu group called Madras Beats in 2016 launched on the eve of 377th birthday celebrations of the Madras Day. The Storyline The story is of a female protagonist, Ruchi Kumar who misses her flight back home and is stuck in Madras, with three days in hand she turns to social media to help her discover the city of Madras. Shakthisree Gopalan
Shakthisree Gopalan (born 9 October 1988) is an Indian vocalist, songwriter and performer, famous for her collaborations with the top south-Indian music composers like A.R. Rahman. Aside from the film music, she is a regular in the independent music scene, performing with various bands over the years dabbling in Pop, R'n'B, trip-hop and jazz. Haricharan Seshadri, known mononymously as Haricharan (born 20 March 1987), is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, playback singer, and musician who predominantly works in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu music and cinema. He sung 2000 songs in films, albums etc. He recorded his first Tamil film song for the film ''Kaadhal'', in Joshua Sridhar's music when he was 17, and went on to record three songs in his debut movie. Maadhu Balaji, born as Balaji, is an Indian actor and comedian known for his roles in Tamil theatre plays and Tamil television serials. Balaji has acted in a number of stage plays and films. Mohan Rangachari (16 October 1952 – 10 June 2019) known professionally as Crazy Mohan, was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter and playwright. An engineer by profession, Mohan started writing plays and established his own drama troupe called "Crazy Creations" in 1979. In addition to dramas and tele-serials, Mohan worked as a dialogue writer on a number of comedy films. Mohan had written over 30 plays, worked on over 40 films, having cameo roles in each film, and written 100 short stories. Kalakshetra Foundation, formerly simply Kalakshetra, is an arts and cultural academy dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in Indian art and crafts, especially in the field of Bharatanatyam dance and Gandharvaveda music.
