''The Lovers of Manon Lescaut'' (Italian: ''Gli amori di Manon Lescaut'') is a 1954 French-Italian historical melodrama film directed by Mario Costa and starring Myriam Bru, Franco Interlenghi and Roger Pigaut.Goble p.375 It is based on the 1731 novel ''Manon Lescaut'' by Antoine François Prévost, which has been made into films on a number of occasions. Franco Pesce
Franco Pesce (11 August 1890 – 6 December 1975) was an Italian actor and cinematographer. Life and career Franco Pesce was born in Naples. He was the son of the actor Ettore. At a young age Pesce studied lyric singing with the intention of becoming an opera singer. At 20 years old he abandoned his studies to enter the cinema industry as a film operator. Pesce moved to Rome with the advent of sound film where he became a cinematographer. Later in his life, beginning in 1940, he started a very productive career as a character actor. In his later years Pesce was mainly active in spaghetti western films. He was often credited under English pseudonyms, usually interpreting roles of petulant, pedantic and intriguing old men. Peter Trent (actor)
Peter Francis Trent, (born 5 January 1946) is an English-born Canadian businessman and politician. He was mayor of Westmount, Quebec until his retirement in April 2017. He was first elected as councillor in 1983. He served as mayor from 1992 to 2001; he left politics at that time due to the forced merger with the City of Montreal. He again became Mayor of Westmount by acclamation during the 1 November 2009 municipal election. Born in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England, Trent and his family immigrated to Toronto when he was 10. Career After a university degree in French literature, Poli began his acting career in the early 1950s and was one of the first actors in Italy to perform en travesti roles. Luigi Pavese (25 October 1897 – 13 December 1969) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Asti, Pavese started his career in 1916 working as a silent film actor at 19 years of age.
