The Long Run (Eagles Album)
''The Long Run'' is the sixth studio album by American rock music, rock group the Eagles (band), Eagles. It was released in 1979, on Asylum Records, Asylum in the United States and the United Kingdom. This was the first Eagles album to feature Timothy B. Schmit, who had replaced founding member Randy Meisner, and the last full studio album to feature Don Felder before his termination from the band in 2001. This was the band's final studio album for Asylum Records. It also turned out to be their last studio album as the Eagles disbanded in 1980 until 2007's ''Long Road Out of Eden'' after the band had reformed in 1994. Three singles were released from the album, "Heartache Tonight", "The Long Run (song), The Long Run", and "I Can't Tell You Why". The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number-one singles and six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America. Founding members Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals), and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals) were recruited by Linda Ronstadt as band members, some touring with her, and all playing on her third solo album, before venturing out on their own on David Geffen's new Asylum Records label. ''Timothy B'' is the second studio solo album by Timothy B. Schmit, the bass guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the Eagles. The album was released in 1987 on MCA in the United States and Europe, three years after Schmit's debut solo album, '' Playin' It Cool'' and seven years after the demise of the Eagles. The album peaked at #106 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, and the single, " Boys Night Out", hit #25 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, Schmit's best selling single. Dan Tana (born 1935 as Dobrivoje Tanasijević; ) is a Serbian and American restaurateur, actor, football administrator/executive, and former professional footballer. Tana is best known as the proprietor of an eponymous restaurant, Dan Tana's, in West Hollywood, California, as well as being closely associated with football clubs Red Star Belgrade and Brentford F.C. Troubadour (West Hollywood, California)
The Troubadour is a nightclub located in West Hollywood, California, United States, at 9081 Santa Monica Boulevard just east of Doheny Drive and the border of Beverly Hills. Inspired by a visit to the newly opened Troubadour café in London, it was opened in 1957 by Doug Weston as a coffee house on La Cienega Boulevard, then moved to its current location shortly after opening and has remained open continuously since. ''The Warriors'' is a 1979 American action thriller film directed by Walter Hill. Based on Sol Yurick's 1965 novel of the same name, it was released in the United States in February 1979. Joseph Fidler Walsh (born November 20, 1947) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. In a career spanning over five decades, he has been a member of three successful rock bands: the James Gang, Eagles, and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. Donald Hugh Henley (born July 22, 1947) is an American musician and a founding member of the rock band Eagles. He is the drummer and one of the lead singers for the Eagles.
