The Lich
"The Lich" is the twenty-sixth episode and season finale of the fourth season of the American animated television series ''Adventure Time''. The episode was written and storyboarded by Tom Herpich and Skyler Page, from a story by Patrick McHale, Kent Osborne, Pendleton Ward. It originally aired on Cartoon Network on October 22, 2012. The episode guest starred Lou Ferrigno as Billy, and Ron Perlman as the Lich. The series follows the adventures of Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada), a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio), a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. In this episode, Finn has an ominous dream about the Lich, and sets off with Jake to warn Billy. Patrick McHale (cartoonist)
Patrick Nolen McHale (born November 17, 1983) is an American animator, screenwriter, songwriter, and director. Known for his work in animation, he served as writer, creative director and storyboard artist for both the television series ''Adventure Time'' from 2010 to 2017, and the miniseries ''Over the Garden Wall'' in 2014, the latter of which he also created; he also co-wrote the 2022 film ''Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio''. Life and career Early career McHale graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2006 with a BFA in Character Animation. He began his professional career at Cartoon Network Studios in 2007, as writer and storyboard artist on Thurop Van Orman's ''The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack''. ''The Hunt of the Unicorn'' or the ''Unicorn Tapestries'' (french: La Chasse à la licorne) is a series of seven tapestries made in the South Netherlands around 1495–1505, and now in The Cloisters in New York.
