The Last Little Life EP
''The Last Little Life EP'' is the first EP by American rock band The Rentals and is a collection of new material from the band in more than 8 years. Recorded by drummer Dan Joeright out of his Hollywood studio (dubbed - Outer Space Studio), The Last Little Life EP was released on August 14, 2007. In addition to three brand new tracks, the EP also includes a new reworking of "Sweetness and Tenderness" originally from the group's 1995 debut ''Return of the Rentals''. Their third full-length album was to follow after the EP's release, But it was replaced by the multimedia project ''Songs About Time'' in 2009. A third album, named ''Lost in Alphaville'', was eventually released in 2014 to positive reviews. The title ''The Last Little Life'' comes from the first word of the three new songs on the album: "Last Romantic Day," "Little Bit of You in Everything," "Life Without a Brain." The Rentals
The Rentals are an American rock band fronted by vocalist Matt Sharp. Sharp has been the only consistent member since the group's inception. The band's best selling single is "Friends of P" (1995). The Rentals released two albums, ''Return of the Rentals'' (1995) and '' Seven More Minutes'' (1999) on Maverick Records before quietly splitting in 1999 following a world tour. The group reformed in 2005 and have since released several EPs and two more full-length albums, ''Lost in Alphaville'' and ''Q36''. ''Lost in Alphaville'' is the third full-length studio album by The Rentals, released on August 25, 2014, through Polyvinyl Records. The album is available on CD, vinyl, cassette and as a digital download. It marks the band's first full-length album since their 1999 release '' Seven More Minutes'' and their first-ever release through Polyvinyl, with whom they signed in December 2013. Background and recording After The Rentals disbanded following the tour for 1999's ''Seven More Minutes'', the band reunited in 2005 and released '' The Last Little Life EP'' as well as four mini-albums as part of their multimedia project ''Songs About Time'' throughout 2009. Benjamin Philip Pringle (born 25 July 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for UAE Second Division League club Fleetwood United. Sara I. Radle is an American filmmaker/musician and former member of the band The Rentals. Radle was a member of the Rentals for three years, starting in 2005. Radle’s music career began in San Antonio, Texas, fronting the punk/pop band Lucy Loves Schroeder, at the age of 17. After a self-released LP and a 7-inch single on Grade Nine Records, LLS signed to Chicago’s Beatville Records and released another LP and EP. The band toured heavily. Rachel Haden
Rachel Haden (born October 11, 1971 in New York City) is an American musician and one of the triplet daughters of jazz bassist Charlie Haden. In the early 1990s, Haden played bass guitar for That Dog, a band that also included her sister Petra. Her sister Tanya also contributed cello on several That Dog recordings, but did not tour as an official member of the band. Around this time Haden also played drums and performed backup vocals for Beck on the songs "Totally Confused" and "Steve Threw Up". She also played drums for Beck's "Pink Noise (Rock Me Amadeus)".
