The Last Day (Red Dwarf)
"The Last Day" is the sixth, and last, episode of science fiction sit-com ''Red Dwarf'' Series III, and the eighteenth in the series run. It premiered on the British television channel BBC2 on 19 December 1989. Written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, and directed by Ed Bye, the story is about Kryten's expiry date and how Lister decides to give him a last day to remember. The episode was re-mastered, along with the rest of the first three series, in 1998. Plot Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) discovers that a message pod has reached ''Red Dwarf'' from Diva-Droid International, his manufacturers, announcing that he has reached his expiry date and will be forced to shut-down automatically in twenty-four hours before he is to be replaced. Red Dwarf
''Red Dwarf'' is a British science fiction comedy franchise created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, which primarily consists of a television sitcom that aired on BBC Two between 1988 and 1999, and on Dave since 2009, gaining a cult following. The series follows low-ranking technician Dave Lister, who awakens after being in suspended animation for three million years to find that he is the last living human, and that he is alone on the mining spacecraft ''Red Dwarf''—save for a hologram his deceased bunkmate Arnold Rimmer and "Cat", a life form which evolved from Lister's pregnant cat. As of 2020, the cast includes Chris Barrie as Rimmer, Craig Charles as Lister, Danny John-Jules as Cat, Robert Llewellyn as the sanitation droid Kryten, and Norman Lovett as the ship's computer, Holly. Danny John-Jules
Daniel John-Jules (born 16 September 1960) is a British actor, singer and dancer. He is best known for playing Milton Wordsworth in The Story Makers and ''Red Dwarf'', Barrington which are both children's series. Also he played in ''Maid Marian and Her Merry Men'', and policeman Dwayne Myers in the crime drama ''Death in Paradise (TV series), Death in Paradise''. He was also a protagonist in the hit CBBC (TV channel), CBBC children's spy drama ''M.I. High'', in which he portrayed Lenny Bicknall, the Janitor, caretaker. Early life John-Jules was born in St Mary's Hospital, London, St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London, brought up in Notting Hill and attended Rutherford School, Paddington, from 1972 to 1977. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is an Adventist Protestant Christian denomination which is distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the seventh day of the week in the Christian (Gregorian) and the Hebrew calendar, as the Sabbath, and its emphasis on the imminent Second Coming (advent) of Jesus Christ. Terminator (character)
The Terminator, also known as a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 or the T-800, is the name of several film Character (arts), characters from the Terminator (franchise), ''Terminator'' franchise portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger and numerous actor stand-ins digitally overlaid with Schwarzenegger's likeness.
