The Last Breath (1999 Film)
''The Last Breath'' (french: Le Dernier souffle) is a Canadian drama film, released in 1999. Written by Joanne Arseneau and directed by Richard Ciupka, the film stars Luc Picard as Laurent Vaillancourt, a police officer from Montreal who travels to Arkansas to solve the murder of his brother Martin ( Michel Goyette). The film's cast also includes Julien Poulin, Serge Houde, Anik Matern and Paul Ahmarani. Richard Ciupka
Richard Ciupka is a Canadian cinematographer and film director. He is perhaps best known for his work on the 1983 horror film ''Curtains (1983 film), Curtains'', as well as his collaborations with Louis Malle on the 1980 film ''Atlantic City (1980 film), Atlantic City'', Alexandre Arcady on the 1985 film ''Hold-Up (1985 film), Hold-Up'' and Claude Chabrol on three feature films in France. Ciupka also filmed or directed over 520 television commercials in Canada and the United States. His work on the Canadian drama series ''Nouvelle adresse'' garnered him a Prix Gémeaux, Gémeaux award for "Best Cinematography (Dramatic)." Daniel Bélanger (born December 26, 1961) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. His music is eclectic, inspired by alternative rock, folk and electronic music, sometimes humorous, sometimes wistful. Biography In middle 1983, he founded the band Humphrey Salade with Norman Lachance, Eric Maier and Jean Gauvin. Unfortunately, timing was not right and the band never recorded. His first solo album released in 1992, ''Les Insomniaques s'amusent'' has sold 175,000 copies and won the Félix for best pop-rock album. Luc Picard (born 24 September 1961) is a French Canadian actor, director and comedian. He was born on September 24, 1961, in Lachine, Quebec, Canada. He has played numerous characters in diverse roles. Early life and education Picard was born in Lachine, Quebec. He trained at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal, and quickly became a favourite with Quebec audiences with his frequent appearances on television.
