The Lake (1998 Film)
''The Lake'' is a 1998 made-for-TV, science fiction thriller movie starring Yasmine Bleeth. Plot Jackie Ivers (Bleeth) is a Los Angeles nurse who returns home to the small town of San Vicente to find that her friends and family have taken on bizarrely different personalities. Jackie notices that everyone who goes into the town's lake come out different. As the movie progresses, Jackie first-handedly witnesses what is happening to everyone around her as she is kidnapped by people from a parallel world. The other world is a duplicate of Earth but is now polluted and its ozone layer gone. In order to survive, the duplicates intend to take over Earth. The entrances to the duplicate Earth are called the vortex, which are located in major bodies of water, ponds, and lakes. Alan Brennert
Alan Brennert (born May 30, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey) is an American author, television producer, and screenwriter. Brennert has lived in Southern California since 1973 and completed graduate work in screenwriting at the University of California, Los Angeles. Career Television Alan Brennert's earliest television work was in 1978 when he wrote several scripts for the ''Wonder Woman'' series. He was story editor for the NBC series '' Buck Rogers in the 25th Century'' and wrote seven scripts for that series. He won an Emmy Award as a producer and writer for ''L.A. Law'' in 1991. For fans of science fiction and fantasy, he might be best known as a writer for the revival series ''The Twilight Zone'' and '' The Outer Limits''. Marion Ross (born Marian Ellen Ross; October 25, 1928) is a American former actress. Her best-known role is that of Marion Cunningham on the ABC television sitcom ''Happy Days'', on which she starred from 1974 to 1984 and for which she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
