The Kiss (1988 Film)
''The Kiss'' is a 1988 supernatural horror film directed by Pen Densham and starring Joanna Pacula and Meredith Salenger. The plot follows two young women who find themselves haunted by an ancient parasitic curse that was passed on to one of them by a kiss. Film critic Harry M. Benshoff has claimed the film to be an allegory of the AIDS epidemic of the late 1980s. Plot In 1963 in the Belgian Congo, sisters Hilary and Felice Dunbar are separated in childhood. Felice is sent away on a train with her aunt, who possesses a cursed totem talisman resembling a serpent. Pen Densham (born 14 October 1947) is a British-Canadian film and television producer, writer, and director, known for writing and producing films such as '' Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves''Kasindorf, Jeanie. ''Gothic'' is a 1986 British psychological horror film directed by Ken Russell, starring Gabriel Byrne as Lord Byron, Julian Sands as Percy Bysshe Shelley, Natasha Richardson as Mary Shelley, Myriam Cyr as Claire Clairmont (Mary Shelley's stepsister) and Timothy Spall as Dr. John William Polidori. Tyrone Benskin (born 29 December 1958) is an English-Canadian actor, theatre director and politician. Céline Lomez
Céline Lomez (born 11 May 1953) is a Canadian actress and singer. Lomez started her show business career singing French-Canadian pop songs with her sister Liette, and the two gained popularity after their performance at the ''Festival du Disque'' in Quebec in 1968. Liette went on to join a trio called Toulouse. Lomez, however, was soon offered a role in the Denis Héroux film '' Here and Now'' (L'Initiation) (1970). She was only 15 years old at the time. Therianthropy is the mythological ability of human beings to metamorphose into animals or hybrids by means of shapeshifting. It is possible that cave drawings found at Les Trois Frères, in France, depict ancient beliefs in the concept.
