The Inspection
''The Inspection'' is a 2022 American drama film written and directed by Elegance Bratton. Inspired by Bratton's real-life experiences, the film follows a young man who faces homophobia, both at a Marines boot camp and at home from his mother. Elegance Bratton
Elegance Bratton (born May 3, 1979) is an American filmmaker and photographer. He began his career in the 2010s, writing, directing, and producing a variety of projects including the short film ''Walk for Me'', the reality television series '' My House'', and the documentary film '' Pier Kids''. Bratton's feature film directorial debut, ''The Inspection'', premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and was released by A24 that November. Early life Elegance was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and raised in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) is the world's largest group of Black film critics that gives various annual awards for excellence in film and television. It was founded in 2003 in New York City. History The association was founded in 2003 by Gil L. Robertson IV and Shawn Edwards. They met in New York City after a press junket, and were both concerned with the lack of themed stories in the film industry from the African Diaspora. Indigo De Souza is an American singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina. Her most recent album, '' Any Shape You Take'', was released in August 2021.
