Hunter Valentine is an alternative rock band formed in 2004 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hunter Valentine have a moderate fan base in southern Ontario. History The current members of Hunter Valentine are Kiyomi McCloskey, Laura Petracca, Leanne Bowes and Aimee Bessada. They signed with True North Records in fall 2006, and released their first full-length album, The Impatient Romantic, on April 10, 2007. Hunter Valentine has also been the staff band at Buck's Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp in New Milford, Connecticut. In the fall of 2009, the band recorded a self-funded 7 song album with Ian Blurton after they were released by True North Records. The band traveled to NYC numerous times hoping to attract attention from labels, and signed with Tommy Boy shortly after. Metalworks Studios is a music recording studio in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1978 by Gil Moore of the Canadian rock group, Triumph. Over a span of 40 years, Metalworks has been the recipient of Canadian Music Week's 'Studio of the Year' 17 times. Since 1978, Metalworks Studios has expanded into a six studio facility offering in-house tracking, mixing and mastering, as well as video editing and DVD authoring. True North Records is a Canadian independent record label. History True North Records was founded in Mississauga, Ontario in 1969 by Bernie Finkelstein. By 1971, True North was producing albums for various Canadian musicians, including Bruce Cockburn and Murray McLauchlan, which were then distributed by Columbia Records in Canada.
