Ralph Ince
Ralph Waldo Ince (January 16, 1887 – April 10, 1937) was an American pioneer film actor, director and screenwriter whose career began near the dawn of the silent film era. Ralph Ince was the brother of John E. Ince and Thomas H. Ince. Biography Ralph Ince was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the younger of three sons and a daughter raised by English immigrants, John and Emma Ince. Sometime after his birth Ince moved to Manhattan where his entire family was engaged in theater work; his father as a musical agent and mother, sister Bertha and brothers, John and Thomas as actors. Ralph Ince studied art with cartoonist Dan McCarthy and for a while worked as a newspaper cartoonist for the New York World and later magazine illustrator for the New York Mirror and The Evening Telegram. At times over his acting and directing career Ince would continue to contribute cartoons to popular magazines of the day. Barbara Tennant (19 May 1892 – 18 March 1982) was an English actress. She appeared in over a hundred silent films between 1912 and 1928. Early life Barbara Tennant was born in London, and began performing there. She moved to North America as a young actress and dancer with the Ben Greet company, and lived in Montreal while touring in various theatrical productions. Film career Tennant appeared in over a hundred silent films, many of them short productions, between 1912 and 1928. Aileen Manning
Aileen Manning (January 20, 1886 – March 25, 1946) was an American film actress. Manning was in demand as a character actress in silent films. She was known for her roles in silent and early talkie films, including ''Uncle Tom's Cabin'' (1927) and ''Huckleberry Finn'' (1931). About her performance in '' Everybody's Sweetheart'' (1920), ''Variety'' wrote that she "makes the character necessarily disagreeable, but true to life". She played Queen Anne in '' A Lady of Quality'' (1924); it was noted that she bore a resemblance to the character she was playing. She played another queen, Elizabeth I, in the MGM short '' The Virgin Queen'' (1928). Manning lived at Hollywood-by-the-Sea. She died on March 25, 1946 in Hollywood.
