Todd Anthony Shaw (born April 28, 1966), better known by the stage name Too Short (stylized as Too $hort), is an American rapper and record producer. He became famous in the West Coast hip hop scene in the late 1980s, with lyrics often based on pimping and promiscuity, but also drug culture and street survival. This is respectively exemplified in his most popular songs "Blow the Whistle" and " The Ghetto". A pioneer of West Coast rap, Shaw began recording in 1983, cultivating a large following in his native Oakland. Released August 14, 2012 prepackaged with the ''Black Pop'' variant edition of ''The Mighty Death Pop!'', it is the group's fifth release with producer Mike E. Background On April 20, 2012, Psychopathic Records released an infomercial for the album ''The Mighty Death Pop!'', announcing that it will be available in three separate editions, each with a variant color cover and prepackaged with a bonus album. The second variant, the ''Black Pop'' edition, contains the album ''Freaky Tales'', consisting of a single, album-length rap. "Push It" is a song by American hip hop group Salt-N-Pepa. It was released as the B-side of the "Tramp" single in 1987. It peaked at number 19 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in early 1988 and, after initially peaking at number 41 in the UK, it re-entered the charts after the group performed the track at Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday concert, eventually peaking at number two in the UK in July 1988. "Roxanne's Revenge" is the debut single by American rapper Roxanne Shante. It was produced by a then unknown Marley Marl and released in 1984 through the independent label Pop Art Records. In the song, a 14-year-old Roxanne Shante, whose real name is Lolita Shanté Gooden, responds to UTFO's hit song " Roxanne, Roxanne". In addition to her feud with UTFO, this also caused between 30 and more than 100 "answer songs" from different hip hop artists to be produced at that time (according to different statements), in what would be called "Roxanne Wars". The song spent 12 weeks on the ''Billboard'' R&B singles chart, reaching 22 in March 1985 and becoming Shanté's most successful song as the lead artist on that chart. UTFO (an abbreviation for Untouchable Force Organization) was an American old-school hip hop group from Brooklyn, New York City.
