The Heartbreaker Demos
''The Heartbreaker Demos'' is a demo version of the album by Barry Gibb. Originally circulating on tape among collectors and later also on CD the album saw a legitimate and wide release on iTunes in October 2006. The album does not include the non-Gibb composition "Our Day Will Come". Recording sessions On the start of 1982, Clive Davis asked Gibb to write for Dionne Warwick, who was on his Arista label. Recording songs for Warwick started in February 1982. Gibb and Albhy Galuten repeated their strategy for the Barbra Streisand's album '' Guilty'' (1980) recording all of the songs as good quality demos and then recording them again for release. The other songs not included on this album were "Oceans and Rivers", "Broken Bottles", "Never Get Over You" and " Stay Alone". "Stay Alone" was later recorded by Gibb himself for his album ''Now Voyager'' (1984) and was also released as a B-side of his 1984 single " Fine Line". Gibb's voice most of the album is falsetto. Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He rose to worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. With his younger brothers, fraternal twins Robin and Maurice Gibb, he formed a songwriting partnership beginning in 1955. He has lived in Britain, Australia, and the United States, holding dual UK–US citizenship, the latter since 2009. Fine Line (Barry Gibb Song)
"Fine Line" is a 1984 single by Barry Gibb. The song was written by Gibb and keyboardist George Bitzer. It is the second and final single from his debut solo album ''Now Voyager''. It was released in October 1984 in North America by MCA Records and in most countries by Polydor Records. The song was failed to chart in the United States, but it did manage to reach #50 on the Hot Dance Club Songs. The 12" version of this song was remixed by Larry Patterson. This single was less successful than his previous single, " Shine, Shine". Recording "Fine Line" was recorded as a demo in November or December 1983 in Miami Beach with " Face to Face", "The Hunter", "One Night (For Lovers)" and "The Hunter". The song features The Who's lead singer Roger Daltrey singing backing vocals along with Olivia Newton-John and Harry Wayne Casey of KC and the Sunshine Band. "Heartbreaker" is a song by American singer Dionne Warwick. It was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees for her 1982 studio album ''Heartbreaker'', while production was helmed by Barry Gibb, Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson under their production moniker Gibb-Galuten-Richardson. Barry Gibb's backing vocal is heard on the chorus. Background "Heartbreaker" was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees for singer Dionne Warwick's same-titled album. The song blended the Gibb brothers' two schools of songwriting: it has the clear verse and chorus structure favored by Robin and Maurice, yet also has the longer spun-out verses Barry now preferred, both well balanced, so that it has instant appeal but takes repeated listenings to fully appreciate. Maurice Ernest Gibb (; 22 December 1949 – 12 January 2003) was a British musician. He achieved fame as a member of the pop group Bee Gees. Although his elder brother Barry Gibb and fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb were the group's main lead singers, most of their albums included at least one or two songs featuring Maurice's lead vocals, including " Lay It on Me", "Country Woman" and " On Time". Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 – 20 May 2012) was a British singer and songwriter. He gained worldwide fame as a member of the Bee Gees pop group with elder brother Barry and fraternal twin brother Maurice. Robin Gibb also had his own successful solo career.
