''The Healing'' is the third album by underground hip hop group Strange Fruit Project Strange Fruit Project is an underground hip hop group from Waco, Texas, which consists of producer and emcee Symbolyc One (also known as S1, born Larry D. Griffin Jr.), his cousin emcee Myth (short for Mythological, born Kevin Gaither) and emc ..., released July 25, 2006 on Om Records. The album was generally well-received, and drew the group comparisons to underground peers like Little Brother. The release was beloved by underground fans for its "Golden Age" style similar to that of the Native Tongues Posse, with Jazzy production and socially conscious lyrical content. Allmusic gave the album a 3 Star rating, and stated: :''"The Healing is an album of solidly good hip-hop, nothing that really will blow any underground fans away, but absolutely enough to keep them listening."'' ''The Healing'' is a 2012 Filipino supernatural horror film directed by Chito S. Roño, starring Vilma Santos and Kim Chiu. The film was released nationwide on July 25, 2012. The film is also part of the celebration of Santos' 50 years in show business. Plot After her father Odong (Robert Arevalo) suffers from a severe stroke, Seth ( Vilma Santos) decides to bring him to Manang Elsa (Daria Ramirez), a faith healer. Elsa, who apparently has the ability to heal people from illnesses, performs the "healing" and prescribes herbal medicine. As Seth and Odong prepare to leave, a man, who is next in line to see Elsa, collapses and loses consciousness and so the people immediately brings him inside. Seth looks back at the commotion before going home with her father. The following day, Seth is welcomed by Odong, who has now regained his strength thanks to the healing.
