Tooniverse (; portmanteau short for ''Cartoon Universe'') is a cartoon and anime channel broadcast by CJ ENM E&M Division (formerly On-Media), in South Korea. Tooniverse commenced airing in December 1995 and is currently one of the leading animation channels in South Korea. It offers a wide variety of animations for different age groups from children to adults. History Tooniverse officially launched on December 1, 1995, and was recognized as a channel more unfamiliar than terrestrial broadcasting in the early days, but many of the imported animations were Japanese-coloured, requiring attention from parents. As of 2009, the channel is operated under CJ ENM, which has steadily preoccupied the 5th place in the cable TV viewing market share as the viewership rate has gradually increased since 2000. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. TVING
TVING () is a South Korean online streaming service operated by TVING Corporation, a joint venture of CJ E&M (CJ Group), Naver and JTBC. It is a platform that streams dramas, entertainment shows, exclusive television films and specials. History TVING was launched on May 31, 2010, by CJ HelloVision. In January 2016, the service was transferred to CJ E&M. On September 17, 2019, CJ E&M and JTBC signed an MOU to establish a joint venture company to operate the service. On October 1, 2020, the joint venture company was launched as TVING Corporation and Yang Ji-eul became the first CEO of the entity. On April 29, 2021, TVING announced that it would no longer provide real-time TV channels for free with paid subscription needed in order to view the content moving forward. Ongamenet
OGN (formerly known as Ongamenet) is a South Korean pay television channel that specialized in broadcasting video game-related content and esports matches, particularly ''StarCraft'', ''Starcraft II'', ''League of Legends'', and Overwatch. OGN ran high level professional tournaments for 20 years; its premier competition included the Ongamenet Starleague (OSL), Proleague, ''League of Legends'' Champions Korea, and ''Overwatch'' APEX. It was previously a subsidiary of On-Media, the parent company of several other cable channels. After a corporate merger in 2010, it became a part of CJ ENM E&M Division. ''StarCraft: Brood War'' is the expansion pack for the military science fiction real-time strategy video game ''StarCraft''. Released in December 1998 for Microsoft Windows and June 1999 for Mac OS, it was co-developed by Saffire and Blizzard Entertainment. The expansion pack introduces new campaigns, map tilesets, music, extra units for each race, and upgrade advancements. Ma Boy () is a 2012 South Korean television series starring Kim So-hyun and Kim Sun-woong in the first teen drama aired by Tooniverse. The drama was produced by CJ E&M Pictures and Penta E&C. The OST of the mini series was recorded by girl group CHI CHI. The series was streamed online on YouTube.
