The Hat Squad
''The Hat Squad'' is an American crime drama television series that ran for only one season on CBS from September 16, 1992, to January 23, 1993, during the 1992–1993 season. 13 episodes were made, but only 11 of them aired. Synopsis Police officer Mike Ragland and his wife Kitty have adopted three boys whose parents' lives were taken by violence; having been told stories about the police "hat squads" of the past, the three boys grew up to become an elite police unit called The Hat Squad, dressed in street clothes and fedoras. They consist of Buddy, who was just a baby when his father died; Rafael, who doesn't carry a firearm and uses a wide variety of methods to subdue criminals; and Matty, who is studying to become a lawyer. Crime Drama
Crime films, in the broadest sense, is a film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Kim Manners
Kim Manners (January 13, 1951 – January 25, 2009) was an American television producer, director and actor best known for his work on ''The X-Files'' and ''Supernatural''. Early life Kim Manners was raised in a show business family. His father, Sam Manners (born Savino Maneri in Cleveland, Ohio) had production credits on shows such as ''The Wild Wild West'' and '' Route 66''. Manners did some acting as a child; his first role was at the age of three in a Chevrolet commercial. He also watched and occasionally participated in his father's work as well as the work of William Beaudine, director of ''The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin''. It was Beaudine who inspired Manners to become a director. David Greenwalt (born October 16, 1949) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He was the co-executive producer of the TV series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' and co-creator of its spinoff, ''Angel''. He is also co-creator of the short-lived cult television show '' Profit''. Brad Turner is a Canadian film director, television director and photographer. Life and career Born in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada, on June 22. He graduated with honours from the Television Arts Program at H. B. Beal Secondary School in London, Ontario. In all he has directed thirteen films, and over two hundred episodes of television. He has been nominated six times for Gemini Awards for directing, and in 2004 he won one for his work in the CBC mini series '' Human Cargo''. He also has won two Directors Guild of Canada Awards for the same production. In 2005, ''Human Cargo'' was also given a Peabody Award. Bruce Kessler (born March 23, 1936) is an American racing driver and film and television director. Racing career Kessler was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Beverly Hills, California. He was the son of a clothing designer. In the early 1950s he started racing his mother's Jaguar XK120 in the Sports Car Club of America races at sixteen years old. He raced the road race courses at Paramount Ranch and Willow Springs in California. He was a team driver along with Chuck Daigh for the Scarab race cars built by his good friend Lance Reventlow in the late 1950s.
