Avery Lawrence Schreiber (April 9, 1935 – January 7, 2002) was an American actor and comedian. He was a veteran of stage, television, and movies who came to prominence in the 1960s in a comedy duo with Jack Burns. He acted in an array of roles mostly on television sitcoms and a series of popular advertisements for ''Doritos'' tortilla chips. Life and career Schreiber was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Minnie (née Shear) and George Schreiber. He started his career in Chicago at the Goodman Theatre. He joined The Second City and later teamed with Jack Burns to form the comedy team of Burns and Schreiber. They recorded several comedy albums and appeared on numerous television shows. Frederick "Curly" Neal (May 19, 1942 – March 26, 2020) was an American basketball player who played with the Harlem Globetrotters, instantly recognizable with his shaved bald head. Following in the footsteps of Marques Haynes, Neal became the Trotters' featured ballhandler, a key role in the team's exhibition act. Early life Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Neal attended James B. Dudley High School and Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina from 1959 to 1963. At Smith, he averaged 23.1 points a game and was named All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) guard. Career Neal played for 22 seasons (from 1963 to 1985) with the Globetrotters, appearing in more than 6,000 games in 97 countries. Hubert Eugene "Geese" Ausbie (born April 25, 1938) is a retired professional basketball player. Early life and education Ausbie was born in Crescent, Oklahoma. He attended Douglas High School where he played on the basketball and baseball teams. He was such an exceptional basketball star; during a tournament his senior season, he averaged 40 points per game and scored 70, 54 and 62 points in three consecutive games. Following a brother of his, Ausbie attended Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended from 1956 to 1960 and was a star basketball player there, earning All-Conference and All-American honors. Charles "Tex" Harrison (January 20, 1933 – November 20, 2014) was an American basketball player, born in Indiana and raised in Texas, who played and coached for the Harlem Globetrotters for six decades. Harrison was the first player from a historically African American college to receive All-American honors. After he was discovered by the Globetrotters in 1954, he played with and coached for players such as Meadowlark Lemon, Marques Haynes, Wilt Chamberlain, and Fred Neal. During his playing career, Harrison had tea with Queen Elizabeth, played for an audience of three popes, ate caviar with Nikita Khrushchev, and starred in a Saturday morning variety show.
