The Haredi Campus - The Academic College Ono
The Haredi Campus - Ono Academic College () is a satellite campus of Ono Academic College, specifically intended for haredi Jews. It is the largest haredi college in Israel, with an undergraduate population of nearly 3,000. It is also the only haredi college that offers courses in Legal Studies. The main haredi Campus is in Or Yehuda, and there is an extension in Jerusalem. The Haredi Campus - Ono Academic College was the first college for haredim in Israel. The college was established in 2001 by Renan Hartman. In 2003, Rabbi Yehezkel Fogel was appointed chairman of the campus. Shelly Yachimovich
Shelly Rachel Yachimovich ( he, שלי רחל יחימוביץ׳, born 28 March 1960) is an Israeli politician, who served three terms as the official Leader of the Opposition, a member of the Knesset, and a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. She served as leader of the Israeli Labor Party between 2011 and 2013. Before entering politics, she was a journalist, an author, and a television and radio commentator. Early life Yachimovich was born in Kfar Saba. Her father, Moshe, was a construction worker and her mother, Hanna, a teacher. Both parents were Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Israel from Poland. She became politically engaged at an early age, and was expelled from Ostrovsky high school in Ra'anana at age 15 for hanging up posters denouncing the principal's style of leadership. Amnon Cohen
Amnon Cohen ( he, אמנון כהן; born 1 June 1960) is an Israeli former politician. He served as a member of the Knesset for Shas from 1999 until 2015. Biography Born in Samarkand in the Soviet Union (today in Uzbekistan), Cohen made aliyah to Israel in 1973. He gained a BA in business administration at the Center for Academic Studies in Kiryat Ono and took a two-year course at the Institute for Local Government in Bar-Ilan University. Cohen served as deputy mayor and acting mayor of Ramla, and chaired the city's Organisation for Prisoner Rehabilitation. He has also been a member of the city union on Secondary Education, the Ayalon Sewage Programme, the Ayalon Fire Department and the board of Amal College. Omer Yankelevich ( he, עוֹמֶר יַנְקֵלֵבִיץ׳, born 25 May 1978) is an Israeli attorney, educator, social activist, and politician. She was the Minister of Diaspora Affairs and was a Member of the Knesset for the Blue and White from 2019 to 2021. She is a co-founder of the "Just Begun Foundation", which sponsors social initiatives to help integrate peripheral and marginalized populations in Israel, with an emphasis on the Haredi sector. In 2019, she joined the Israel Resilience Party, which is part of the Blue and White political alliance, and was placed #23 on the faction's list for the April 2019 Knesset election. Uriel Buso
Uriel Menachem Buso (, born 13 September 1973) is an Israeli politician who serves as a member of the Knesset for Shas. Biography Burso was born the ninth of ten children in Ramla. His mother Heftziba is the daughter of the Moroccan-born Mayor and Chief Rabbi of Ramla, Yitzhak Abihatsira, commonly referred to as "the Baba Khaki", and his father is an immigrant from Argentina who studied at Porat Yosef Yeshiva. On 8 February 2011, Busso was arrested along with the mayor of Petah Tikvah, Itzik Ohayun, on suspicion of corruption, namely taking bribes and undisclosed finances. Nissan Yigal Guetta ( he, ניסן יגאל גואטה, born 18 March 1966) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Shas between 2016 and 2017. Early life Guetta was born and raised in Kiryat Shmona, where his brother and sister-in-law were killed in the Kiryat Shmona massacre in 1974. He carried out his IDF national service in the Nahal.
