The Greene Murder Case (film)
''The Greene Murder Case'' is a 1929 talking film produced and released by Paramount Pictures and based on the novel '' The Greene Murder Case'', by S.S. Van Dine ( Willard Huntington Wright). The novel had been published a year before this film was made. It stars William Powell in his second Philo Vance outing. Florence Eldridge and Jean Arthur costar. In 1937, the film was remade as '' Night of Mystery''. Frank Tuttle
Frank Wright Tuttle (August 6, 1892 – January 6, 1963) was a Hollywood film director and writer who directed films from 1922 (''The Cradle Buster'') to 1959 ('' Island of Lost Women''). Biography Frank Tuttle was educated at Yale University, where he edited campus humor magazine '' The Yale Record''."Frank Wright Tuttle". Morgan Farley
Francis Morgan Farley (October 3, 1898 – October 11, 1988) was an American actor on the stage and in films and television. Career His theatrical career began in 1918 in the stage adaptation of Booth Tarkington's '' Seventeen''. He recreated the role of Joe Bullitt in Orson Welles's ''Mercury Theatre on the Air'' adaptation of the story that aired October 16, 1938. Brandon Hurst (30 November 1866 – 15 July 1947) was an English stage and film actor. Early life Born in London, England, Hurst studied philology in his youth and began performing in theater in the 1880s. Before he began acting professionally, Hurst served seven years in the English army, including five years with the King's Dragoon Guards in India.
