The Great Catsby
''The Great Catsby'' (Hangul: 위대한 캣츠비, RR: ''Widaehan Kaetcheubi'', M-R: ''Widaehan K'aetch'ŭbi'') is a Korean webtoon written by Doha Kang and Kim Seung-jin. It was first serialized on Empas at 2004, but was then discontinued in 2005. Daum also published the comic in its original language on the internet. Netcomics, which holds the translation publication rights, published the comic in six volumes and on the internet in English. The title is a play on the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, ''The Great Gatsby''. The comic starts by introducing Catsby, a university graduate who is depressed for not being able to find a job. His girlfriend, Persu, announces that she will marry another man — one that is significantly older and richer than Catsby. Doha Kang
Doha Kang (; born 1969) is a manhwa artist of South Korea. Kang wrote ''The Great Catsby'' and ''Romance Killer''. Before 2005, when he presented ''The Great Catsby'' on Daum Communications, Daum, one of the major Internet portals of South Korea, Kang signed his work with his birth name, Kang Seong-su. He is also the spouse of a famous manhwa artist, Won Soo-yeon (원수연), author of ''Full House (manhwa), Full House'', which was adapted into the Full House (2004 TV series), television drama of the same name. Won is eight years older than Kang and they have two children.
