The Golden Pillow
''The Golden Pillow'' () is a 40-episode epic drama produced by the Television Corporation of Singapore (now MediaCorp) in 1995. Synopsis The story is about Ren Niang, who attempts to find success and happiness in his life. Born in Thailand, Ren Niang goes to Singapore in search of his long-lost biological father Sai Qilin and gets entangled in a love triangle along the way. He chances upon a mysterious "golden pillow" rumoured to possess magical powers. Part of the plot involves various characters trying to get their hands on the golden pillow. Legacy The series was one of earliest Singaporean drama series to be filmed on location overseas (part of it was filmed in Europe). Star Awards 2007 () was a television award ceremony held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It was the first ''Star Awards'' ceremony to be broadcast in two weeks putting emphasis on two programmes; the first ceremony, broadcast on 9 December 2007, titled 红星大奖之戏剧情牵25 (lit. ''Star Awards 25th Drama Anniversary''), commentating 25 years of drama in the Television in Singapore (the ceremony would later become a legacy of having a separate presentation of Professional and Technical awards, which would not happen until ''Star Awards 2010''). Yang Libing
Yang Libing () is a former Singaporean Mediacorp actress. She was prominently a full-time artiste from 1983 to 2009. Career Yang first entered the entertainment industry during the 1984 after she attended the SBC's drama training course with her older sister Yang Lina. She starred in the long-running hit drama ''Wok of Life'' and won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Star Awards 1999. Yang left the entertainment industry in 2009 to focus into business and operated a hair salon with her sister Yang Lina which was opened in 2004. Zoe Tay
Zoe Tay (; born 10 January 1968) is a Singaporean actress and former model. She has been referred to as the "Queen of Caldecott Hill" and "Ah Jie" (Top Actress) by the local media since the rise of her popularity in the 1990s. She is one of the first batch of actors to receive the Star Awards All-Time Favourite Artiste award, along with Li Nanxing and Chew Chor Meng. To date, Tay has received four Star Awards for Best Actress - a record for most number of wins in the category. Early life Tay is the sixth of seven children born to Teochew parents.
