The Golden Path (TV Series)
The Golden Path () is a 30-episode drama serial. Set in 1982 and spanning 25 years, it tells the story of a family embroiled in conflicts of interest, webs of deceit, love, hatred and vengeance. The drama was produced by MediaCorp in celebration of the company's 25 years of local Chinese drama production and incorporates scenes from past dramas such as '' The Seletar Robbery'', '' The Flying Fish'', '' Pretty Faces'', ''Turn of the Tide'', ''Finishing Lines'', ''The Last Applause'', '' Stepping Out'', ''The Golden Pillow'' and '' Holland V''. The serial was telecast on MediaCorp TV Channel 8, from 11 December 2007, weekdays at 9:00pm. The series finale aired on 21 January 2008. Li Nanxing
Jonathan Lee Nam Heng (born 7 November 1964), better known as Li Nanxing (), is a Singaporean actor and was named as 'Ah-Ge' (大哥, "big brother") of Caldecott Hill. He is also a film director and producer. Li has acted in many Chinese-language television dramas produced by MediaCorp Channel 8. He had won the Best Actor awards three times in the Star Awards, an annual acting awards in Singapore. Li was also one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Chew Chor Meng. Career Li Nanxing attended Singapore Broadcasting Corporation's drama training course before debuting in 1986 with ''Crossroads'' (). Li gradually rose to stardom in the 1990s. Seletar Robbery
Seletar Robbery (Simplified Chinese: 实里达大劫案, literally "The Great Seletar Robbery") is a 90-minute Singaporean action drama produced by Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now MediaCorp) in 1982. Production SBC began filming the drama on 31 May 1982, and filming lasted 24 days. Plot Three thugs, Zhao, Soon and Chai, wearing masks, rob an employee of the workers' payroll belonging to a HDB construction company of S$300000 which was just withdrawn from the bank. The construction company was located at Seletar Reservoir, hence the drama's name. After robbing the construction company with guns, the three thugs were chased by workers there to their car which they used to escape. The police is alerted by an electrician who had witnessed the robbery. The robbers are about to escape when the police arrive. Wonton
A wonton () is a type of Chinese dumpling commonly found across regional styles of Chinese cuisine. It is also spelled wantan or wuntun in transliteration from Cantonese () and wenden from Shanghainese (). There are many different styles of wonton served throughout China, though most foreigners are only familiar with Cantonese wontons because of the predominance of Cantonese restaurants overseas. Originating from China, wontons have also become popular in other East and Southeast Asian cuisines. History Yang Xiong from the western Han Dynasty mentioned "bing wei zhi tun", which means wontons are a type of bread. Nathaniel Ho
Nathaniel "Nat" Ho (, born 23 August 1984) is a Singaporean actor and singer. Career Ho was originally one of the Top 30 contestants in the inaugural season of Singapore Idol in 2004. He was also awarded the 'Most Promising Artiste' in 2004, by the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company. One of his first acting roles was in the Channel 5 drama '' Shooting Stars''. The Golden Pillow
''The Golden Pillow'' () is a 40-episode epic drama produced by the Television Corporation of Singapore (now MediaCorp) in 1995. Synopsis The story is about Ren Niang, who attempts to find success and happiness in his life. Born in Thailand, Ren Niang goes to Singapore in search of his long-lost biological father Sai Qilin and gets entangled in a love triangle along the way. He chances upon a mysterious "golden pillow" rumoured to possess magical powers. Part of the plot involves various characters trying to get their hands on the golden pillow. ''Stepping Out'' () is a 1999 Singaporean Mandarin drama series adapted from a historical book, which reran several times like in 2006, 2019 and in 2021. It stars Yvonne Lim , Terence Cao , Cynthia Koh , Xie Shaoguang , Ivy Lee and Tay Ping Hui as the casts of the series.
