The Goldbergs (season 1)
The first season of the television comedy series '' The Goldbergs'' aired on ABC from September 24, 2013 to May 13, 2014. Series creator Adam F. Goldberg served as executive producer alongside Doug Robinson, and Seth Gordon. It was produced by Adam F. Goldberg Productions, Happy Madison Productions, and Sony Pictures Television. The show explores the daily lives of the Goldberg family, a family living in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania in the 1980s. Beverly Goldberg ( Wendi McLendon-Covey), the overprotective matriarch of the Goldbergs is married to Murray Goldberg (Jeff Garlin). They are the parents of three children, Erica (Hayley Orrantia), Barry (Troy Gentile), and Adam (Sean Giambrone). After airing only six episodes, ABC gave the show a full season pickup of 23 episodes. It was renewed for a second season on May 8, 2014. Wendi McLendon-Covey
Wendi McLendon-Covey (née McLendon; born October 10, 1969) is an American actress and comedian. She is known primarily for her work in comedic and improvisational roles. Since 2013, McLendon-Covey has played the role of Beverly Goldberg, a family matriarch, on the ABC comedy series '' The Goldbergs,'' for which she was nominated for two Critics' Choice Television Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. A native of Long Beach, California, McLendon-Covey worked numerous jobs after graduating high school before earning a degree from California State University, Long Beach, in 2000. ''Capture'' is an American reality competition television series on The CW that is hosted by Luke Tipple and premiered on July 30, 2013. Format ''Capture'', brings twelve teams of two to a 4,000-acre wilderness area called the Arena to participate in hunts to eliminate other teams as the $250,000 grand prize. The competition lasts for a month, and the teams, while still in the game, reside in a small camp named the Village and given meager food and rations, and otherwise forced to rely on survival skills for other resources. Teams are identified by matching color jackets they wear, and must stay together throughout the game. During hunts, each player wears a special vest mounted with an over-the-shoulder camera, as well as an armband mounted with a screen that can be used to display a map of the area, the team's current location, and other information during the hunt. The Reebok Pump is a line of athletic shoes that was first released on November 24, 1989, by Reebok. It was the first shoe to have an internal inflation mechanism that regulated a unique fitting cushion in the lower and upper tongue to provide locking around the ankle. Styx () is an American rock band from Chicago that formed in 1972 and is best known for melding hard rock guitar balanced with acoustic guitar, synthesizers mixed with acoustic piano, upbeat tracks with power ballads, and incorporating elements of international musical theatre.
