The Gold Medal (film)
''The Gold Medal'' is a 1984 Hindi-language spy film, produced by Sham Behl under the Time Films banner and directed by Ravikant Nagaich. It stars Jeetendra, Rakhee Gulzar, Shatrughan Sinha while Dharmendra in a special appearance. The music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Starting from 1969, this movie had faced many types of problems, so it's become a delay released movie and was released in 1984. Plot The film begins in a netherworld that controls the industrial sector and labor associations under the chieftain of Singh (K.N. Singh) who creates riots in the country. Once, a trade union leader Acharya (Dharmendra) protests against these oppressions and is assassinated. During that time, his follower Shatrughan (Shatrughan Sinha) holds proof of ''The Gold Medal'' containing the transmitter from the homicide. Hasrat Jaipuri, born Iqbal Hussain (15 April 1922 – 17 September 1999) was an Indian poet, who wrote in the Hindi and Urdu languages. David Abraham Cheulkar (21 June 1909 – 2 January 1982), popularly known as David, was an Indian Hindi film actor. Mahendra Kapoor (9 January 1934 – 27 September 2008) was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as ''Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono'' ( Gumrah) and ''Neele Gagan ke tale'' (Hamraaz).
