''The Gate'' (french: Le Temps des aveux) is a 2014 French-Belgian-Cambodian drama film directed by Régis Wargnier, based on the books by François Bizot. The film debuted at the Telluride Film Festival on 29 August 2014. It was also screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in September 2014. Cast * Raphaël Personnaz as François Bizot * Olivier Gourmet Olivier Gourmet (born 22 July 1963) is a Belgian actor. Gourmet was born in Namur. Régis Wargnier (; born 18 April 1948) is a French film director, film producer, screenwriter and film score composer. His 1992 film '' Indochine'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 65th Academy Awards. His 1995 '' A French Woman'' was entered into the 19th Moscow International Film Festival where he won the Silver St. George for the Direction.
