The video for "Wiggle Stick" was featured on an episode of ''Beavis and Butt-head''. "Nurture My Pig" and "Wiggle Stick" were included in the ''Redneck Rampage'' video game soundtrack. Some bars in the game also have a loop of "Beer:30" playing in the background. The song "Loaded Gun" was performed by the group in a strip club scene in the film ''Love and a .45'' but was not included on the film's soundtrack. The Reverend Horton Heat
The Reverend Horton Heat is the stage name of American musician James C. Heath (born 1959) as well as the name of his Dallas, Texas-based psychobilly trio. Heath is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. A ''Prick'' magazine reviewer called Heath the "godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly". The group formed in 1986, playing its first gigs in Dallas' Deep Ellum neighborhood. The core members are Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath on guitars and lead vocals, and Jimbo Wallace on the upright bass. The band signed to Victory Records in 2012, and released its 12th studio album, ''Whole New Life,'' on November 30, 2018. The band plays rock and roll with influences from 1950s country, surf, punk, big band, swing, and rockabilly standards. Gwar, often stylized as GWAR, is an American heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1984, composed of and operated by a frequently rotating line-up of musicians, artists and filmmakers collectively known as Slave Pit Inc. Arthur Samuel Wilbur Chantry II (born April 9, 1954) is a graphic designer often associated with the posters and album covers he has done for bands from the Pacific Northwest, such as Mudhoney, Mono Men, Soundgarden, and The Sonics. Biography Chantry received a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University in 1978. Chantry's designs are perhaps most closely associated with the Seattle, Washington-based Sub Pop Records and the Bellingham, Washington-based Estrus Records, for which he has worked with dozens of bands. X-Cops (band)
X-Cops was a side project composed of members from the heavy metal band Gwar and their extended "family" of musicians. Each member of X-Cops performed in a police uniform and had their own character. They released the album '' You Have The Right To Remain Silent...'' on Metal Blade Records in 1995. The album included a cover of Deep Purple's " Highway Star" (with different lyrics, to reflect the theme of the album). In addition, they released a 7" single of the songs "Junkie" (featuring the first released vocal performance of Gwar/X-Cops guitarist Michael Derks) and "Beat You Down" on Man's Ruin Records in 1996. History Peter Lee started this band after being shot in a failed car jacking attempt. The idea sparked while filming a commercial segment for Gwar's ''Skulhedface''.
