"The Foundations of Decay" is a song by American rock band My Chemical Romance. It is the band's first release since their reunion in October 2019 and the first single since "Fake Your Death" from their greatest hits album ''May Death Never Stop You'' (2014). The song was written by lead vocalist Gerard Way and produced by Doug McKean alongside Way and lead guitarist Ray Toro. Background and release Six years after the band's breakup in 2013, the band announced a reunion show on October 31, 2019, initially scheduled to be held as a one-off event in Los Angeles on December 20, 2019. My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance (commonly abbreviated to MCR or My Chem) is an American rock band from Newark, New Jersey. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. They are considered one of the most influential rock groups of the 2000s and a major act in the pop punk and emo genres, despite the band rejecting the latter label. Frank Anthony Iero, Jr. (, born October 31, 1981) is an American musician who is the rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist of the rock band My Chemical Romance and post-hardcore band Leathermouth. He is also the guitarist in the metal band L.S Dunes. He has a solo project titled "Frank Iero and the Future Violents" (formerly "frnkiero andthe cellabration" and "Frank Iero and the Patience"). He released his debut solo album titled '' Stomachaches'' on August 26, 2014. Early life He was born in Belleville, New Jersey. "Welcome to the Black Parade" is a song from American rock band My Chemical Romance's third studio album, ''The Black Parade'' (2006). It was released on September 12, 2006, as the album's lead single, with the studio version available on the band's Myspace on September 2, 2006. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Post-metal
Post-metal is a music genre rooted in heavy metal but exploring approaches beyond metal conventions.
