The Five (comics)
"Dawn of X" is a 2019 relaunch of the ''X-Men'' line of comic books published by Marvel Comics in the wake of the twin miniseries ''House of X'' and ''Powers of X''. This initiative culminated in the crossover event '' X of Swords'', which was followed by a sequel relaunch named "Reign of X" in December 2020. ''X-Men '' is a comic book ongoing series featuring the titular namesake team of superheroes, published in various incarnations by Marvel Comics, beginning in 1963. During its revival under writer Chris Claremont, the first series was eventually renamed ''The Uncanny X-Men'' with issue #114 (October 1978). In 1991 a second companion series debuted, marking the first time that more than one ''X-Men'' series would be published. This series took the simpler, earlier name ''X-Men'', though from 2001 until 2004 it became the flagship title of the X-Men franchise and was published as '' New X-Men''. Empyre
"Empyre" is a 2020 comic book storyline published by Marvel Comics. This storyline follows the events of ''Incoming!''. It was published in July of 2020. Premise The Avengers, the Fantastic Four and various other heroes of the Marvel universe come together to fight and prevent the incoming invasion of the Kree/Skrull armada being led by Hulkling who has been crowned as "Dorrek VIII". Editorial history The first comic of the story arc, ''Road to Empyre: The Kree–Skrull War,'' was announced in December 2019. Zeb Wells is an American comic book writer known for his work at Marvel Comics, a television writer/director known for his work on the animated TV series ''Robot Chicken'', and the co-creator/showrunner of ''SuperMansion''. Career Wells is an Emmy and Annie Award-winning writer and actor for the TV show ''Robot Chicken'', including the Emmy-nominated '' Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II''. ''Cable'' is the name of multiple comic book titles featuring the character Cable and published by Marvel Comics, beginning with the original ''Cable'' comic book series which debuted in 1993. Publication history In 1992, the character was featured in his first solo series, a two issue miniseries, titled ''Cable: Blood and Metal'', written by Fabian Nicieza, pencilled by John Romita, Jr., and inked by Dan Green, published in October and November of that year. Adam Kubert (; born 1959) is an American comics artist known for his work for publishers such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics, including work on ''Action Comics'', '' Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine'', ''The Incredible Hulk'', ''Ultimate Fantastic Four'', ''Ultimate X-Men'', and ''Wolverine''. Bryan Edward Hill is an American author, screenwriter, musician, comic book writer, and graphic designer. Early life and education Hill was born in Chicago and moved to St. Louis, Missouri as a child, where he attended the prep academy John Burroughs School. Career Hill was hired by Top Cow Productions to expand the Witchblade universe by writing the trade paperback ''Broken Trinity:Pandora's Box'' with former Top Cow Productions editor Rob Levin. Matt Wilson is an American artist and colorist working in the comics industry. According to CBR, he is "one of comics' most in demand colorists". Career Matt Wilson attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia to complete a degree in Sequential Art. After college, he found he was more interested in working in story boarding, character design, and sculpting. Wilson's early professional coloring work was as a member of Lee Loughridge's Savanah-based color studio, Zylonol, where he replaced Nick Dragotta. His time as part of this team allowed him to develop his craft and build up experience in delivering books. He branched out into taking coloring jobs on under his own name, starting in 2008, through contacts including Ivan Brandon, Rick Remender, Jamie McKelvie and Kieron Gillen.
