Thomas Carr (director)
Thomas Howard Carr (July 4, 1907 - April 23, 1997) was an American actor and film director of Hollywood movies and television programs. Often billed as "Tommy Carr", he later adopted his more formal "Thomas Carr" birth name as his billing name. Biography Carr was born into an acting family on July 4, 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father was the actor William Carr and his mother was the actress Mary Carr. Thomas Carr followed the family profession, and in 1915 began acting in silent films. From 1915 through 1953, Carr played small supporting roles in a number of low budget Hollywood films. However, Carr's star as an actor did not rise. In 1945, he turned to directing, and from 1945 through 1951 Carr directed numerous B movies for Hollywood's poverty row. Rick Vallin (born Eric Efron; September 24, 1919 – August 31, 1977) was an actor who appeared in more than 150 films between 1938 and 1966. Early years Born in Feodosia, in the Crimea, Russia, Vallin came to the United States at age there with his South American mother, Mrs. Nardine Thomes, on the S/S ''Muskegon'', which arrived at the Port of Boston on May 6, 1922. His father, an Imperial Army officer, was murdered by the Bolsheviks. His mother, known as Nadja Yatsenko, was a ballerina in Tsarist Russia; in the States, she was billed as a Gypsy dancer. Career In 1940, Vallin (billed as Eric Efron) acted on stage with the Hollytown Theater. Myron Daniel Healey (June 8, 1923 – December 21, 2005) was an American actor. He began his career in Hollywood, California during the early 1940s and eventually made hundreds of appearances in movies and on television during a career spanning more than half a century. Early years Healey was born in Petaluma in Sonoma County, California, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert D. Healey. He served in World War II as an Air Corps navigator and bombardier, flying in B-26 Martin Marauders in the European Theatre. After the war he continued military duties, retiring in the early 1960s as a captain in the United States Air Force Reserve. Acting career Healey's film debut came in 1943 with ''Young Ideas.''
