The Festival (film)
''The Festival'' is a 2018 British comedy film directed by Iain Morris and co-written by Keith Akushie and Joe Parham. The film stars Joe Thomas, Hannah Tointon, Emma Rigby, Hammed Animashaun and Claudia O'Doherty. Plot Nick Taylor's girlfriend, Caitlin, breaks up with him on the day of their graduation from university, and he humiliates himself at the ceremony by begging her to take him back. Nick’s friend Shane Simpson persuades him to attend the Giant Music Festival to get over Caitlin, as they have already bought their tickets and Shane wants to meet DJ Hammerhead (who performs wearing a hammerhead shark mask). On the train they meet Amy, a talkative, exuberant and jocund Australian who has attended the festival for nine consecutive years. Shane is drawn to her while Nick rebuffs her attempts to be friendly. Iain Morris
Iain Kevan Morris (born 6 August 1973) is an English writer. He is best known for creating ''The Inbetweeners'' with his writing partner Damon Beesley and co-hosting a show on London radio station XFM with stand-up comedian Jimmy Carr. He featured in the "Iron" and "Music" episodes of cult spoof TV show ''Look Around You'', as well as on Jimmy Carr's second live DVD, as a panelist on a feature named ''Comedy Idol''. Other writing credits include two episodes of HBO's ''Flight of the Conchords'': Season One's " The Actor" and Season Two's " Unnatural Love". Morris also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Taika Waititi for the 2023 sports comedy '' Next Goal Wins'' and co-scripted the football comedy series '' The First Team'' for the BBC in 2020. Kurt Yaeger
Kurt Yaeger (born January 3, 1977) is an American actor, director and professional athlete, who is also a below-the-knee amputee. Recent work includes roles on the CBS series '' NCIS'' and the HBO/Cinemax series ''Quarry''. Kurt is notable for appearing in season five of the FX series '' Sons of Anarchy'' as Greg "the Peg" and in the Rudimental music video for the UK hit single " Waiting All Night" featuring vocals from Ella Eyre.
