The Feed (Australian TV Series)
''The Feed'' is an Australian news, current affairs and satire television series that began airing on SBS Viceland on 20 May 2013 and has continued through several series and with several changes of presenters. Broadcast history ''The Feed'' was created by SBS former Director of News and Current Affairs Paul Cutler, who enlisted pop-culture journalist Patrick Abboud to help assemble a crew to produce a 15-minute daily show. Nick Hayden first executive producer when season one began airing in 2013, with presenters Patrick Abboud, Marc Fennell, Jan Fran and Andy Park. The series episodes were extended for following seasons to a full half an hour segment daily, with a mix of in-depth features, news headlines and comedy skits. Marc Fennell
Marc Fennell is an Australian film critic, technology journalist, radio personality, author and television presenter. Fennell is a co-anchor of '' The Feed'' and the host of ''Mastermind''. Career Film critic In 2002, Fennell was a winner of the first AFI Young Film Critics Competition. He then became the film critic and reporter for Sydney radio station FBi Radio from 2003–2006. During this period Fennell was selected as one of four presenters of SBS's ''The Movie Show'' in mid-2004. Fennell remained with the show until June 2006, when the show went on hiatus, returning in a different format (and with a different team) in 2007. Fennell covers cinema across the ABC Radio Network including ABC Local Radio and the national youth broadcaster triple j. NITV
National Indigenous Television (NITV) is an Australian free-to-air television channel that broadcasts programming produced and presented largely by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It includes the half-hourly nightly ''NITV News'', with programming including other news and current affairs programmes, sports coverage, entertainment for children and adults, films and documentaries covering a range of topics. Slavery in Australia has existed in various forms from colonisation in 1788 to the present day. European settlement relied heavily on convicts, sent to Australia as punishment for crimes and forced into labour and often leased to private individuals. The annual Walkley Awards are presented in Australia to recognise and reward excellence in journalism. They cover all media including print, television, documentary, radio, photographic and online media. The Gold Walkley is the highest prize and is chosen from all category winners.
