''The Family Circle'' was a Television in Canada, Canadian documentary television series which aired on CBC Television in 1957. Premise This series concerned the lives of children, using productions from Crawley Films, the National Film Board of Canada and United World Films. Polly MacKay-Smith hosted the films which were accompanied by a panel discussion involving teachers and parents. Scheduling This half-hour series was broadcast on Sundays at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern) from 7 April to 9 June 1957. CBC Television
CBC Television (also known as CBC TV) is a Canadian English-language broadcast television network owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the national public broadcaster. The network began operations on September 6, 1952. Its French-language counterpart is Ici Radio-Canada Télé. With main studios at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto, CBC Television is available throughout Canada on over-the-air television stations in urban centres, and as a must-carry station on cable and satellite television providers.
