The F.U.'s
The F.U.'s are a hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. They formed in 1981 as a three-piece band, released two records and appeared on the compilation ''This Is Boston, Not L.A.'' before changing their name to Straw Dogs in 1986 to market themselves as a Heavy metal music, heavy metal act. In 2010 The F.U.’s reformed under their original moniker.Sox, John 7/26/13 History Formation and early records The F.U.’s formed as a hardcore punk band in Boston late in 1981. The band initially consisted of John Sox on bass and lead vocals, Bob Furapples on drums, and Steve Grimes on guitar. This lineup recorded a four-song demo which received airplay on the numerous college radio stations in the Boston area. The F.U.'s started out playing fast, thrashy hardcore punk. DYS (band)
DYS is an American straight edge hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, who were part of the " Boston Crew" in the 1980s, along with contemporaries such as SSD and Negative FX. The group later expanded their sound, becoming one of the first hardcore bands to veer into heavy metal. History Formation DYS was founded in the 1980s by singer Dave Smalley and bassist Jonathan Anastas. ''Trouser Press'' was a rock and roll magazine started in New York in 1974 as a mimeographed fanzine by editor/publisher Ira Robbins, fellow fan of the Who Dave Schulps and Karen Rose under the name "Trans-Oceanic Trouser Press" (a reference to a song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and an acronymic play on the British TV show ''Top of the Pops)''. The Dead Milkmen
The Dead Milkmen is an American punk rock band formed in 1983 in Philadelphia. Their original lineup consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Rodney Linderman ("Rodney Anonymous"), guitarist and vocalist Joe Genaro ("Joe Jack Talcum"), bassist Dave Schulthise ("Dave Blood") and drummer Dean Sabatino ("Dean Clean").
