The F-Ups
The F-Ups are an American punk rock band from Rochester, Minnesota. Founded in 1999, signed with Capitol Records in 2003, and reunited in 2020. They are best known for their song 'Lazy Generation' which was featured on NHL 2005 and Burnout 3: Takedown, being the theme song for Takedown. Several of the members formed a new band ''Hang 'Em High'', which itself disbanded in 2014. History The group formed in 1999 while its members were still in high school. Originally the band was named Mr. Completely, and just prior to signing with Capitol Records in 2003 changed the name to "The F-Ups." They came second in a high school competition, but took first place the next year. Rochester, Minnesota
Rochester is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the county seat of Olmsted County. Brynn Arens
Brynn Arens (born April 7, 1961) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is best known as guitarist and frontman of the rock band Flipp, as well as guitarist for the alternative rock band Zen From Mars. He is also the founder of ''Brynn Co.'', which is his own model of guitar amplifiers created from vintage radio consoles. Early career In the early 80's, Arens was a member of the hard rock band Obsession, the band changed their name to Funhouse who, along with producer Mick Ronson, became the first band ever to record at Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Funhouse then changed their name to Rattling Bones, and had their song "Monkey in the Jungle" featured on the soundtrack for the 1993 comedy film Surf Ninjas; the band would dissolve shortly after. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. A backing vocalist is a singer who provides vocal harmony with the lead vocalist or other backing vocalists. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Rhythm Guitar
In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together.
