The Exorcist's Meter
''The Exorcist's Meter'' is a 2017 Hong Kong supernatural television drama produced by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). It stars Kenneth Ma, Mandy Wong, Hubert Wu, Moon Lau, Hugo Wong, Ram Chiang and Susan Tse. A second season was aired in 2020. Synopsis '' Ma Kwai ''(Kenneth Ma) is an optimistic taxi driver. One day, he accidentally wakes the stone spirit '' Shek Kam Dong ''(Hubert Wu). Since then, he is able to see ghosts and spirits. Meanwhile, Ma meets '' Bella Bui '' (Moon Lau), a supernatural TV host, and together they go on supernatural adventures. Bella gradually develops feelings for Ma. Nevertheless, Ma has had a crush on his regular passenger, '' Dr. Felicity Chong '' (Mandy Wong). In the meantime, a demon endangers the world. Shek Kam Dong loses his powers while battling with it. Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) is a television broadcasting company based in Hong Kong SAR. The Company operates five free-to-air terrestrial television channels in Hong Kong, with TVB Jade as its main Cantonese language service, and TVB Pearl as its main English service. TVB Anniversary Awards
The TVB Anniversary Awards (), officially known as the TVB Awards Presentation, is an annual awards ceremony honoring TVB's programming achievements in Hong Kong television; despite claims that it is the region's equivalent to the American Emmy and the Australian Logie, no other networks are allowed to enter their programmes into TVB competition, and it is awarded solely to TVB programming. Winners are awarded a copy of the golden TVB anniversary statuette, which depicts a man and a woman holding up TVB's square logo. The TVB Anniversary Awards are only one of three (four, including Asian Television Awards) TVB awards given out. ''Shigandang'' (; Japanese: ''ishigantō'') is an ornamental stone tablet with writing, which is used to exorcise evil spirits in east Asia. 石敢當 are often associated with Mount Tai, and are often placed on street intersections or three-way junctions, especially in the crossing, which is often considered a spiritually dangerous place (). Erecting Taishan shi-gan-dang nearby the houses, villages, bridges and roads has a long history in China. The phrase “石敢當” first appeared in Han Dynasty.
