History As a part of the Canberra music scene the band first began performing under the name of The Ellis Collective in late 2007, and quickly gained local popularity. In 2008 they appeared at the National Folk Festival where they were well received. They have performed at festivals across Australia including the Woodford Folk Festival. Music Of Canberra
Canberra is home to a number of important musical venues and institutions, including the Llewellyn Hall performance venue, part of the Australian National University School of Music, and a number of music festivals including Canberra International Music Festival, Canberra Country Blues & Roots Festival and the National Folk Festival. National Folk Festival (Australia)
The National Folk Festival (NFF) is an Australian family-oriented celebration that has been attended by over 50,000 people. Winner of the National Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Best Festival in 2009, it features over 20 stages with vibrant world-class artists, 'blackboard' opportunities, workshops, craft, themed bars and cafes and delectable food. Originating in Melbourne in 1967, from 1969 the NFF was held in various states in city and regional venues. Woodford Folk Festival
The Woodford Folk Festival is an annual music and cultural festival held near the semi-rural town of Woodford, north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is one of the biggest annual cultural events of its type in Australia. Every year approximately 125,000 patrons attend the festival. VIA LongHaul is a CPU speed throttling and power saving technology developed by VIA Technologies. By executing specialized instructions, software can exercise fine control on the bus-to-core frequency ratio and CPU core voltage. When the system first boots, the ratio and voltage are set to hardware defaults. While the operating system runs, a ''CPU driver'' controls the throttling according to how much load is put on the CPU.
