''The Dying Things We Live For'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band Like Moths to Flames. It was released worldwide on October 23, 2015, through Rise Records and was produced by Will Putney and Tom Smith Jr. This is their second album to feature drummer Greg Diamond, their first not to feature an official rhythm guitarist, due to the departure of Zach Huston prior to the recording of the album, and their last to feature guitarist Eli Ford. Towards the end of 2015, and following the album's completion, he was replaced by guitarist Jeremy Smith, formerly of the band City Lights. Like Moths to Flames is an American metalcore band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in 2010 by former members of various bands, including Emarosa, Agraceful, the Crimson Armada, and My Ticket Home. The band has released four studio albums and three EPs through Rise Records. The band's current line-up consists of lead vocalist Chris Roetter, bassist Aaron Evans, lead guitarist Jeremy Smith, and rhythm guitarist Zach Pishney. It is the band's first release with rhythm guitarist Zach Pishney. It is also the last album to feature Greg Diamond as drummer and the last to be released on this label. City Lights was an American pop punk band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in 2008. They released two EPs and two studio albums during their six-year tenure; the latest being ''The Way Things Should Be'', released on December 10, 2013, via InVogue Records.
