The Don's Analyst
''The Don's Analyst'' is an American television film that starred Robert Loggia, and premiered on Showtime on September 6, 1997. It predated the very similarly plotted 1999 movie ''Analyze This''. Plot Don Vito Leoni, the Godfather, is clinically depressed. The world has changed and he hasn't. He'd like to retire, but if he left the "family business" to his two idiot sons, they'd be dead in a minute. So he decides to go legit, which convinces everyone that he must be completely off the deep end. To preserve their cushy lives, his dysfunctional family conspires to get him some psychotherapy. So his boys kidnap a "paisan" shrink, and order him to "fix" their father. Philip Akin
Philip Akin (born April 18, 1950) is a Canadian actor. Akin has had roles in major American films such as '' The Sum of All Fears'', ''S.W.A.T.'', and '' Get Rich or Die Tryin'''. He has also done much voice work, including voicing the character of Bishop for the ''X-Men'' animated series and Tripp Hansen in ''Monster Force''. Life and career Akin was born in Kingston, Jamaica, as a middle brother of five sons. His parents moved to Oshawa, Ontario in 1953, and he and his brothers followed suit the next year. He has lived in Ontario ever since. Shortly after attending high school, Akin attended Toronto's Ryerson Theatre School. Daniel DeSanto is a Canadian actor. Early life Raised in the Toronto suburb of Etobicoke, DeSanto made his acting debut at the age of 8 as the lead protagonist in ''Brown Bread Sandwiches'' (a.k.a. ''La famiglia Buonanotte''), a film about Italian immigrants in Toronto written and directed by Carlo Liconti. David Calderisi (born 21 June 1940) is a Canadian actor with a career in both Canada and the United Kingdom. Early life and education Calderisi was born in Montreal and attended McGill University. Career After training as an actor in London from 1959 to 1962, Calderisi made appearances in iconic British TV shows including ''The Saint'', ''The Count of Monte Cristo'', '' The Baron'', ''Doctor Who'' (serial: ''The Mind of Evil'') and ''The Protectors''.
