''The Devil's Daughter'' is a 1973 American made-for-television horror film starring Shelley Winters, Belinda Montgomery and Robert Foxworth. Plot Diane is a young woman (played by Belinda Montgomery) who attends the funeral of her mother. Colin Higgins
Colin Higgins (28 July 1941 – 5 August 1988) was an Australian-American screenwriter, actor, director, and producer. He was best known for writing the screenplay for the 1971 film ''Harold and Maude'', and for directing the films '' Foul Play'' (1978) and '' 9 to 5'' (1980). Life and career Early life Higgins was born in Nouméa, New Caledonia, France, to an Australian mother, Joy (Kelly), and American father, John Edward Higgins, one of six sons. Joseph Cheshire Cotten Jr. (May 15, 1905 – February 6, 1994) was an American film, stage, radio and television actor. Rozelle Ivory Gayle (February 24, 1919 – December 6, 1986) was an American jazz pianist, comic entertainer and actor. Biography Born in Chicago, he studied at the American Conservatory of Music before working as a pianist with Roy Eldridge's band, recording with them in 1943. A follower of Art Tatum, he moved to southern California in 1948, and started performing as a solo act in clubs. In 1953 he had a residency in Santa Ana, California. Robert Rae Cornthwaite (April 28, 1917 – July 20, 2006) was an American film and television character actor. Biography Cornthwaite was born in Saint Helens, Oregon. He said that his interest in acting began in his early teens, when he was forced to recite one line in a school play. He began his acting career in 1937, appearing in a college production of ''Twelfth Night'', while attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon. In the late 1930s, he enrolled in Long Beach City College and worked at radio stations in Southern California.
