The Desired Effect Tour
The Desired Effect Tour is the 2015 solo concert tour by American recording artist, Brandon Flowers, who is also the lead vocalist for the rock band, The Killers. Visiting North America and Europe, the tour supported his second album, '' The Desired Effect''. The tour received praise from both spectators and critics alike, including a five star review by MTV. Background Flowers debuted lead single "Can't Deny My Love" from '' The Desired Effect'' in Guadalajara, Mexico on March 12, 2015. Two nights later he performed for Vive Latino 2015, live streamed across Mexico. Flowers had originally intended to first reveal the song in his hometown of Las Vegas but was forced to postpone the show. Brandon Richard Flowers (born June 21, 1981) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and philanthropist, best known as the lead singer, keyboardist, and occasional bassist of the Las Vegas-based rock band the Killers. In addition to his work with the Killers, Flowers has released two solo albums, ''Flamingo'' (2010) and ''The Desired Effect'' (2015). He has reached number one on the UK Albums Chart nine times, and on the ''Billboard'' 200 once (top ten, eight times), including work by the Killers. "Rent" is a song by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys from their second studio album, ''Actually'' (1987). It was released as the album's third single on 12 October 1987. Song information The lyric is commonly thought to deal with a financially one-sided relationship, i.e. that of a kept man, the title implying more specifically the lot of a rent boy. Neil Tennant, however, stated in the ''Actually: Further Listening'' liner notes: It peaked at number 8 in the British charts. Producer Stephen Hague remixed the song for single release.
