The Deer Tracks
The Deer Tracks are a Swedish electronic duo that combines the facets of multiple music genres into a unique sound. They are often compared to Nordic counterparts The Knife and Sigur Rós. The band’s genre transcendence contains up-tempo dance beats and folksy lyrics. Formation Core members David Lehnberg and Elin Lindfors met at a party in their hometown of Gävle, Sweden when David asked Elin to sing backup vocals on a forthcoming project. They first generated buzz after the posting of their first track and continued working together. Gävle
Gävle () is a city in Sweden, the seat of Gävle Municipality and the capital of Gävleborg County. It had 77,586 inhabitants in 2020, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. It is the oldest city in the historical Norrland (Sweden's Northern Lands), having received its charter in 1446 from Christopher of Bavaria. However, Gävle is far nearer to the greater Stockholm region than it is to most other major settlements in Norrland and has a much milder climate than associated with said region. In recent years, the city has received much international attention due to its large Yule Goat figure made of straw - the Gävle Goat. The Control Group is an independent record label, founded by Nabil Ayers in Seattle, Washington in 2002. Notable artists who have released albums on The Control Group include El Perro del Mar, Lykke Li, Cate Le Bon, Alice Boman and Wildbirds & Peacedrums. The Control Group is also known for vinyl releases and reissues by Spinal Tap, Grandaddy, The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Giorgio Moroder and PJ Harvey. Scott Cohen (music Business)
Scott Cohen (born 1965) is the co-founder of digital distribution company The Orchard, which was founded on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1997 and is now owned by Sony Music. The Orchard was the first digital distributor of music. In February 2019, Cohen retired from The Orchard and joined the senior management team at Warner Music Group. His role is the Chief Innovation Officer. He sat on the British Phonographic Industry Council, and was the chairman of the board of music agency Sound Diplomacy.
