''The Dark Imbalance'' (also known as ''A Dark Imbalance'' in the United States) is a 2001 science fiction novel by Sean Williams and Shane Dix. It is the third novel in the ''Evergence'' series and is preceded by '' The Dying Light'' which was published in 2000. It follows the story of Morgan Roche who has been given the task to protect mankind from the cloned warriors. Background ''The Dark Imbalance'' was first published in Australia on 28 February 2001 by Voyager in paperback format. Sean Williams (author)
Sean Llewellyn Williams (born 23 May 1967) is an Australian author of science fiction who lives in Adelaide, South Australia. Several of his books have been ''New York Times'' best-sellers. Early life and education Williams was born in Whyalla, South Australia on 23 May 1967. He studied sciences and music at Pulteney Grammar School and matriculated third in his year (1984), topping the state for Musical composition. That same year, he won the Young Composer's Award for a theme and three variations for string quartet with flute, oboe and trumpet soloists called "Release of Anger". He then went to Adelaide University and studied a Bachelor of Economics and wrote for the student newspaper ''On Dit''. He completed a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at Adelaide University in 2005 and was in 2010 a PhD candidate at the same institution. Shane Dix
Shane Dix (born 1960 in Wales) is an Australian science fiction author best known for his collaborative work with Sean Williams in the '' Star Wars'': New Jedi Order series. In addition to his novels with Sean Williams, Dix has had short stories published in various magazines and anthologies, including ''Aurealis: Australian Fantasy & Science Fiction'', ''Eidolon: The Journal of Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy'', ''Borderlands'', ''Twenty3 : A Miscellany'' (1998), and ''Alien Shores: An Anthology of Australian Science Fiction'' (1994). While primarily known for his science-fiction work, since 2007 Dix has been branching out into other genres and fields of writing with a number of original novels. Four of these manuscripts are now complete, and he is currently looking for an agent to represent them. ''Seventeen Going Under'' is the second studio album by English musician Sam Fender. The album was released on 8 October 2021 through Polydor Records. The album explores Fender's upbringing and how it has impacted who he is today, exploring both his outward nihilism as well as his internal self-examination.
