The Dangerfields
The Dangerfields are a punk rock/ heavy metal band based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 2000. Fronted by drummer and lead vocalist Andrew Griswold, the band has gone through many line-up changes. They have released one album and four EPs, and played more than 800 live gigs, including playing their 666th gig on 06/06/06. They have toured with many notable bands, including The Dwarves, Zeke, The Damned, Misfits, The Exploited, Flogging Molly and Stiff Little Fingers. In May 2004, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden invited them to perform with him at his BBC 6 Music Road Show at Belfast's Mandela Hall alongside Therapy?. Bands to have played their debut gigs opening for The Dangerfields include And So I Watch You from Afar and Black Spiders. Fellow Irishmen and former touring partners Gama Bomb recorded a cover version of the Dangerfields' song ''Maniac'' on their ''Zombi Brew'' EP. TNSrecords
TNSrecords (also known as TNS and That's Not Skanking) is a DIY Record Label based in Manchester, United Kingdom, founded in 2008 by Revenge of the Psychotronic Man bassist/vocalist Andy Psychotronic, along with a personal friend of his, Tim Bevington. They specialise in Punk rock and Ska, though they also have included some Heavy metal acts. TNS produce a free Fanzine, arrange gigs in Manchester and run TNSradio, a podcast featuring music from their own and other, similar artists from around the world. They have organised showcase gigs in Leeds, Macclesfield, and Blackpool whilst being co-organisers of Manchester Punk Festival. They are sometimes referred to as TNS Records, but the correct name is TNSrecords. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original. Gama Bomb
Gama Bomb are a thrash metal band based in Northern Ireland. The band's 2009 album ''Tales from the Grave in Space'' was one of the first albums released as a free download by a band signed to a record label. History Beginnings (2002–2005) School friends Joe McGuigan and Philly Byrne formed Gama Bomb with guitarist Luke Graham in Newry in 2002. The band gained attention with their demo " The Survival Option" the same year. In 2003, they toured and released the single " The Fatal Mission". During this period Byrne often appeared on stage as a chef, priest, pirate or scientist. Black Spiders are an English rock band based in Sheffield, England. Their latest and third studio album entered the UK Rock Chart reaching No. 9. re-entering again at No. 28, after Record Store Day (drop ii) History The band formed in early 2008, originally playing a few shows under the name 'the Black Spiders'. They released the three track single "St. Peter" in December 2008, to coincide with a small run of dates with Airbourne on mainland Europe in December of the same year, their first ever tour. Therapy?
Therapy? are a Northern Irish rock band from Larne, formed in 1989 by guitarist-vocalist Andy Cairns and drummer-vocalist Fyfe Ewing. Therapy? recorded their first demo with Cairns filling in on bass guitar. To complete the lineup, the band recruited Larne bassist Michael McKeegan. The band signed with major label A&M Records in 1992, for which they released four albums, most notably ''Troublegum'' in 1994 and ''Infernal Love'' in 1995. Ewing's departure in early 1996 preceded the arrivals of his replacement Graham Hopkins, and Martin McCarrick on cello and guitar. Neil Cooper replaced Hopkins on drums in 2002. Following the departure of McCarrick in 2004, the band have remained a stable three-piece since. Therapy? are currently signed to UK independent label Marshall Records. Queen's University Belfast Students' Union
Queen's Students' Union (QSU) is the official representative body for students at Queen's University Belfast. Membership of the union is automatic and currently totals 24,560, making it one of the largest unions on the island of Ireland and in the United Kingdom. The Students' Union derives its existence and authority from the University's Statutes, and so is not entirely independent of it. Therefore, it must have amendments to its constitution approved by the University Senate. Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris.
