The Dancing Fools
The Dancing Fools were a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) composed of Disco Inferno and Alex Wright. They were also called the Dancing Idiots and Boogie Knights when the pair reunited later on. History The Dancing Fools Disco Inferno and Alex Wright were two wrestlers in World Championship Wrestling that liked to dance before and after (and sometimes during) their matches. They were feuding with each other in 1998 and decided to form a tag team called "The Dancing Fools". Tokyo Magnum, a Japanese wrestler new to WCW, wanted to join the Fools and would appear dancing behind them (without their knowledge) during their entrance. At Road Wild, the angle came to a head when his interference on behalf of The Dancing Fools backfired in a tag team match between The Fools and The Public Enemy. Two nights later on the August 10 edition of ''Nitro'', Magnum was told by Wright and Disco that if he wanted to be a member, he needed to impress them in a match ...

Cruiserweight (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a cruiserweight is a wrestler who competes in a Cruiserweight division. The term was first coined in United States in 1996 by World Championship Wrestling. Prior to this, the terms "Light Heavyweight" and "Junior Heavyweight" were more commonly in use. The older term junior heavyweight is still favored in Japan, where many titles for lighter-weight competitors are called junior heavyweight titles. Prominent titles include New Japan Pro-Wrestling's IWGP, Pro Wrestling Noah's GHC, and All Japan Pro Wrestling's World championships. The weight limit used by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Japanese promotions is "up to 225 lbs" (100 kg), while WWE currently uses 205 lb (93 kg) as its weight limit. Due to the scripted nature of professional wrestling and that the billed weight of wrestlers can be changed, weight classes usually are not strictly enforced as they are in professional boxing and mixed martial arts. New Japan and Noah also hav ...

New Blood (professional Wrestling)
The New Blood was a professional wrestling stable in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 2000. History In early 2000, WCW decided that Kevin Sullivan's booking style was not as successful as they had hoped. So, they decided to bring back former WCW president Eric Bischoff and former World Wrestling Federation head of creative Vince Russo, putting them together to run WCW. On-screen, Bischoff and Russo took over and declared all WCW titles vacant on April 10, 2000. They also declared a new stable with both of them at the helm called The New Blood. It consisted of most of the younger wrestlers in WCW as well as longtime talent that had been largely in the background for years, feuding with " The Millionaire's Club", the older stars of WCW, who they claimed held them all back. The idea was to get the younger talent over and generate more interest among the younger fans that watched the WWF instead of WCW, although it later evolved into a New World Order rehash. While Hulk ...

Filthy Animals
The Filthy Animals were a professional wrestling faction in World Championship Wrestling from 1999 until 2001. Concept The plan for the stable was to be WCW's version of the World Wrestling Federation's D-Generation X.Guerrero, Eddie. ''Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story'', p. 190. Instead of being strictly villains ( ''heels'') or heroes ( ''faces''), they were in between ( ''tweeners''). They pulled pranks and hijinks on both villains and fan favorites alike. They would steal wallets and mock older wrestlers. They broke into Ric Flair's locker room and stole one of his famous entrance robes, which they took turns wearing and imitating Flair's signature strut and "Wooo!". History During a promo on the May 27, 1999 edition of Thunder, Konnan specifically thanked Rey Mysterio, Jr., Billy Kidman, and Kevin Nash for watching his back. Mentioning that some people thought the young WCW stars weren't "good enough," Konnan stated they were "filthy animals" and were ...

Axis Powers
The Axis powers, ; it, Potenze dell'Asse ; ja, 枢軸国 ''Sūjikukoku'', group=nb originally called the Rome–Berlin Axis, was a military coalition that initiated World War II and fought against the Allies. Its principal members were Nazi Germany, the Kingdom of Italy, and the Empire of Japan. The Axis were united in their opposition to the Allies, but otherwise lacked comparable coordination and ideological cohesion. The Axis grew out of successive diplomatic efforts by Germany, Italy, and Japan to secure their own specific expansionist interests in the mid-1930s. The first step was the protocol signed by Germany and Italy in October 1936, after which Italian leader Benito Mussolini declared that all other European countries would thereafter rotate on the Rome–Berlin axis, thus creating the term "Axis". The following November saw the ratification of the Anti-Comintern Pact, an anti-communist treaty between Germany and Japan; Italy joined the Pact in 1937, follow ...
