''The Daily Star'' is a daily newspaper in Oneonta, New York, United States. In 2020, the paper ceased publishing a Monday edition and opted to go for a Tuesday-Saturday publication schedule. It is owned by Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. It also owns and operates the ''Cooperstown Crier'', (circ. 3,600) a weekly newspaper in Cooperstown, New York. In 2015, it also started publishing ''The Weekly Star,'' (circ. 6,500) a weekly publication of articles from the previous weeks ''Daily Star'' editions. Oneonta ( ) is a city in southern Otsego County, New York, United States. It is one of the northernmost cities of the Appalachian Region. Cooperstown, New York
Cooperstown is a village in and county seat of Otsego County, New York, United States. Most of the village lies within the town of Otsego, but some of the eastern part is in the town of Middlefield. Located at the foot of Otsego Lake in the Central New York Region, Cooperstown is approximately southwest of Albany, southeast of Syracuse and northwest of New York City.
