This is a list of recurring segments featured on ''The Daily Show''. This list is incomplete for ''The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn'' and ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart''. During ''The Daily Show''s first ten years, a significant part of its airtime was devoted to different branded recurring segments, usually hosted by the show's correspondents. After the 2005 launch of ''The Colbert Report'', which was largely made up of different recurring segments, the time devoted to such segments on ''The Daily Show'' has declined. Normal commentary segments about ongoing news stories can also have recurring titles to help sort them and talk about continuation. The Daily Show
''The Daily Show'' is an American late-night talk and satirical news television program. It airs each Monday through Thursday on Comedy Central with release shortly after on Paramount+. ''The Daily Show'' draws its comedy and satire form from recent news stories as well as political figures, media organizations, and often uses self-referential humor. The half-hour-long show premiered on July 22, 1996, and was first hosted by Craig Kilborn until December 17, 1998. Jon Stewart then took over as the host from January 11, 1999, until August 6, 2015, making the show more strongly focused on political satire and news satire, in contrast with the pop culture focus during Kilborn's tenure. Stewart was succeeded by Trevor Noah, whose tenure began on September 28, 2015. AC/DC
AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, but the band calls it simply "rock and roll". AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, 1975's ''High Voltage''. Membership subsequently stabilised around the Young brothers, singer Bon Scott, drummer Phil Rudd, and bassist Mark Evans. Drain The Swamp
''Drain the swamp'' is a phrase which has frequently been used by politicians since the 1980s. The phrase can allude to the physical draining of swamps which is conducted to keep mosquito populations low in order to combat malaria, prevalent during the time in Washington D.C. on supposed swampy grounds. The 2016 United States presidential election was the 58th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.
