Léo Lasko
Léo Lasko (1885–1949) was a German screenwriter and film director of the silent and early sound eras. As Lasko was of Jewish descent he was classified as a "non- Aryan" by the Nazis. Following their 1933 takeover he was banned from film work and eventually emigrated to Britain. Kurt Richter (1885–1960) was an Austrian art director of the silent era. Blandine Ebinger (born Blandine Loeser) (4 November 1899, in Berlin – 25 December 1993, in Berlin) was a German actress and ''chansonniere''. Career Ebinger became acquainted with Friedrich Hollaender in 1919, and with him she became heavily invested as a performer, writer, and composer in the Berlin cabaret scene in the 1920s, beginning in the cabaret and the Café des Westens. She recorded many of her husband's, Friedrich Hollaender, cabaret songs, including the set of songs entitled '. Ebinger emigrated to the United States in 1937, returning to Berlin in 1947. She moved to Munich, where she met her second husband, the publisher Helwig Hassepflug, in 1961. They eventually settled back in Berlin, where she continued her career in the theater and as an actress on television productions. Louis Brody (born Ludwig M'bebe Mpessa; 15 February 1896 – 11 February 1951) was a Cameroonian-born German film actor, musician and showfighter. Brody was born in Douala, in the German colony of Kamerun, now Cameroon. His career began in the 1920s after he moved to Germany and lasted uninterrupted throughout the Nazi regime till his death in 1951. Brody engaged also in political work in favour of Afro-Germans as part of the African Aid Organisation, established by and for Afro-Germans living in Germany. In 1938 he married a woman from Danzig.
